Blooming from Within: How Sammy Shiers Transformed Her Healing Journey into a Global Empowerment Movement

In this insightful interview, Sammy Shiers, the visionary founder of Inner Bloom, shares how her personal journey of healing and self-discovery after a toxic relationship inspired her to create a global platform dedicated to empowering women.

From overcoming deep emotional struggles to becoming a certified coach, Sammy's path led her to recognise the power of collaboration among coaches and healers. Inner Bloom now stands as a thriving community, offering diverse well-being resources and financial empowerment opportunities. Sammy discusses the mission, challenges, and future of Inner Bloom, revealing the heart and purpose behind this transformative movement.

Nicolle: What inspired you to create Inner Bloom, and how does your personal journey influence the mission and values of the Academy?

Sammy: My healing journey began after ending a toxic relationship with a narcissist, which left me feeling lost and disconnected from myself. Just as I started to heal, I was devastated by the news of my ex's suicide, plunging me into a deeper spiral of guilt and self-blame. To numb the pain, I turned to alcohol and drugs, eventually hitting a terrifying low that became my wake-up call. I realised there had to be more to life and embarked on a path of self-discovery through therapy and personal growth, eventually becoming a certified coach.

Despite finding purpose in coaching, I struggled to reach and impact more lives. I noticed other talented coaches and healers facing the same challenge—having valuable knowledge but lacking visibility. This sparked the idea to create an Academy where coaches and healers could unite, share their expertise, and offer masterclasses on Mental, Emotional, Spiritual, and Physical Well-being. Members could access diverse coaching resources in one place and choose to work with a coach individually if desired. This collaborative platform aimed to provide value for both coaches and members, marking the beginning of a new chapter in my journey.

Nicolle: Can you elaborate on the unique business model of Inner Bloom, particularly the Master Resell Rights, and how it empowers your Ambassadors to generate income?

Sammy: MRR (Master Resell Rights) is when the creator of a product gives others the rights to sell it and keep 100% of the profit. I first learned about MRR by seeing influencers online talk about Digital Marketing Courses with MRR. They were making thousands from a product they didn’t have to create themselves. I saw the potential in MRR and thought, "I can learn Digital Marketing, sell those courses to generate funds, and build Inner Bloom alongside it." I started selling a few Digital Marketing courses, but Inner Bloom memberships were still slow to take off. Then one day, it hit me—I have a digital product, I’m the creator, so why not do the same? I added MRR to Inner Bloom, and within three weeks, we went from 100 members to 3,000.

Nicolle: With over 100 hours of content and contributions from more than 70 female coaches and healers, how do you ensure that the resources provided are both diverse and aligned with the Academy's mission?

Sammy: The Academy is dedicated to helping women transform their lives from the inside out, with a strong focus on doing the inner work. It's structured around four key areas: Mental, Emotional, Spiritual, and Physical Well-being. While we’re still growing, my vision is to eventually offer a taste of everything that can support women in their transformation journey. It may sound ambitious, but it’s far from impossible. Sounds nuts, but it’s not like I’m trying to send a rocket to the moon.

Nicolle: Inner Bloom aims to help 1 million women 'bloom into the best version of themselves.' How do you measure success in this ambitious goal, and what milestones have you achieved so far?

Sammy: If I can help you hear something you haven’t heard before or see something you couldn’t see, then I’ve fulfilled my purpose. With that in mind, I truly believe that every woman who joins Inner Bloom can find something within the Academy that will change her life. However, it requires radical responsibility and self-leadership. Our success is measured not just by how many women join, but by how they take ownership of their growth and transformation.

Nicolle: What challenges have you faced as a female entrepreneur in the wellness industry, and how have these experiences shaped your approach to running Inner Bloom?

Sammy: I think the biggest mistake I’ve made is focusing too much on what others are doing. When I shift my focus back to Inner Bloom’s mission, rather than worrying about others' opinions, I make real progress. It’s when I try to incorporate too many outside opinions that I start to feel lost and confused. I truly believe this is a divine plan, and my intuition is guiding me every step of the way. I’ve had to pivot and refine constantly, and I’m okay with that. I’m not concerned with what others think—I’m committed to making this the best it can be. If that means things have to change, then so be it.

Nicolle: The concept of combining personal transformation with financial empowerment is central to Inner Bloom. How do you see this approach impacting the lives of the women who join your community?

Sammy: The ripple effect of this business model is huge. Women get paid to become better versions of themselves, to heal, and to take responsibility for their own well-being. Women are also finding their voice and choosing collaboration over competition. We encourage women to share their journey and story, hoping it will become a guiding light for someone else, inspiring and empowering other women to take control of their well-being and finances.

Nicolle: As Inner Bloom continues to grow globally, what future plans or expansions do you envision for the Academy, and how do you plan to maintain the personalized touch that has contributed to its success?

Sammy: The vision for Inner Bloom is massive. With our affiliate option, we aim to partner with clothing, wellness, and other brands that cater to women. We’re planning to launch our own product ranges and replicate this business model across other industries—I'm even working on a concept for men.

Inner Bloom is its own thriving ecosystem; the bigger it grows, the more people want to be a part of it. Created by women for women, Inner Bloom has a strong community element that keeps it personal and supportive. Our community is incredibly active, with over 15 chat forums where women can connect on topics like motherhood, dating, sobriety, mindset, and more. The platform almost runs itself—with easy-to-follow modules for new members to navigate everything smoothly. We also host live coaching calls each month, and with the community hosted on Mighty Networks, support from our hosts is always readily available.
