Laughter, Lube & Why You Should Stop Faking Your Orgasms: We Meet Liv Bentley & Bella Campbell, Co-Founders of JOMO London

In bustling London, a dynamic duo has joined forces in the last few years to challenge conventions and break taboos in the realm of sexual well-being. JOMO London, co-founded by Made In Chelsea star Liv Bentley and celebrity makeup artist Bella Campbell, is a testament to the power of friendship, self-discovery, and the pursuit of genuine well-being.

A spot of serendipity

Liv and Bella’s partnership was forged in an unexpected yet fortuitous encounter. Reflecting on their first meeting, Liv recalls, "The first conversation we ever had, Bella said, ‘Do you want to come with me on a wild weekend to Ibiza?’ I’d never met her before, and I was like, ‘You and I are going to be friends for life.’ We didn’t go to Ibiza, but we started our brand."

Their friendship quickly blossomed, and during their morning walks, they delved into deep conversations about personal struggles and societal expectations. "I would say to Bella, ‘Is it weird that I fake orgasming?’ and that’s the sort of chat and open conversations we were always having," Liv shares. These candid discussions revealed a gap in the market for luxurious products that boost confidence and promote sexual well-being, especially for those facing their own set of unique challenges.

Breaking taboos and empowering women

JOMO, standing for "Joy Of Missing Out," symbolises a shift from the anxiety of FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) to embracing personal joy and self-care. Liv and Bella's mission extends beyond creating luxury oils; they aim to empower individuals by encouraging open conversations about sexual health and breaking down stigmas.

Liv passionately explains, "We wanted to make something that makes you feel good. That’s our big thing, doing what makes you feel good."

Bella adds, "It’s amazing how much your headspace affects everything. Once your confidence gets knocked, you want it to be normalised and realise you’re not the only one going through it."

A force for education and awareness

A recurring theme in their mission is the inadequacy of sex education - a topic we’ve not shied away from in the past. Liv and Bella believe that open conversations and better education are crucial. "I blame sex-ed at school. There are so many people now messaging Bella and me saying that we should go into sex education," Liv remarks. Their vision includes creating a safe space for individuals to ask questions and discuss topics that are often considered taboo.

The science of sensuality

JOMO London's products are meticulously crafted with all-natural ingredients, including CBD and L-arginine. "We wanted all-natural because it’s so unknown how scented and chemical products can affect your PH balance," Liv explains.

Bella elaborates on the benefits of CBD, emphasising its role in enhancing sensations and promoting well-being. “The whole thing with CBD is that it has a bad stigma that goes with it, but also incredible benefits. People don’t understand that the body naturally produces cannabinoid oils that connect and centre our system to get everything functioning as it should. By putting it on topically, you’re going straight into your blood flow which is the best, quickest way to get it into your body…everything is running a little faster, everything is catching up with your headspace, and your headspace is catching up with your ‘nether regions’ and well, wham, bam, thank you very much!”

Their commitment to quality is unwavering. "For us, it wasn’t necessarily about selling loads of products, but it was making something amazing," Liv states. This dedication to excellence is reflected in the positive feedback they receive, including a heartfelt review from a woman who, after undergoing chemotherapy, was able to reconnect intimately with her husband using JOMO's products.

Challenges and hurdles

It’ 's fair to say that navigating the intersection of sex and CBD has presented its challenges, but Liv and Bella's perseverance has paid off. "We self-funded the whole way through, and I think that’s so impressive," they both say proudly. Their journey is a testament to their resilience and commitment to their mission.

The future of JOMO

Looking ahead, JOMO London plans to expand its product line and delve into the educational aspect of sexual well-being. "I would love to get into the educational side of things," Liv reveals. Bella echoes this sentiment, expressing a desire to collaborate with other brands and build an even more supportive community.

For Liv and Bella, sexual freedom and sensuality mean embracing who you are without shame. "Just being you," Bella says simply.

Suffice it to say that JOMO London stands as a beacon of empowerment, encouraging individuals to take joy in their personal journeys, embrace their unique selves, and foster open, honest conversations about sexual well-being. Through their innovative products and inspiring mission, Liv Bentley and Bella Campbell are redefining the landscape of self-care and sensuality and I think they’d smile at me saying that we’re lapping up every morsel.

Oh, and their CBD Arousal Oil is also a must-have bedside table accessory (you can thank me later).
