Poem: Invisible I Am

Can you see me?

No, I hear you say in the

silence in the air.

Completely ignored like you don't care.

How long have I been ignored?

Forever, I think.

My words and presence have made no difference

For forever, I think.

From the time I was a child

'Til now, even If I am grown.

I'm as invisible as the cloak

that drapes around my shoulders.

Glad to be invisible

away from your stares and unkind words.

They will pierce me no more.

At last at peace, I stand.

Invisible once more.
