Poem: A Day’s Heart

There I was lying under the shade of the stars

On the road were the moving cars

It was a no moon day

Darkness had spread all over the way

While I was gazing at the stars I saw something

It was different but I felt amazing

It was a beautiful half heart

It looked as if it was sad for not having its other part

It looked like it had a story to tell

But couldn't speak like a speechless sea shell

The stars in it were twenty four

I suddenly felt the warmth of my heart's core

While I was experiencing this scene I heard a loud scream

I woke up from my mysterious dream

Somewhere I knew it wasn't just an imagination

This was surely a nature's creation

By now all the cars had gone and the only thing left was the wooden cart

When I looked up at the starry sky once again I saw THE DAY'S HEART
