All the better for nature

The dawn chorus I do hear

It's silence I do fear

Squirrels eating in their tree

A sight to behold you see

Nature all around you and me

Brings much joyful glee

Good for the mind and the soul

Makes our life that more whole

Yet rarely we take time to look

Know not it fills each and every nook

If we took some time to stop and stare

Better still our lives might fare

For nature may bode better for it

When we take the time to admit

That we are no better a species

Instead we are nature's bullies
