All the lockdown DIY kits
A carefully curated list of all the lockdown kits you can get delivered RIGHT TO YOUR DOOR. Yes, lockdown is slowly being eased, but why shouldn’t we continue to bake a la Paul Hollywood, paint like Da Vinci, gorge on carbs and sugary treats and grow our own veggies?
Below I’ve therefore listed out my favourite do-it-yourself kits, to inspire lockdown learning (even after lockdown eases).
Oh yeaahhh baby, you can get THOSE Doughnut Time doughnuts delivered to your doorstep so that you can over-decorate and gorge to your hearts content. It’s great for hunger and not so great for your teeth, but who really cares when it tastes this good.
DIY Pottery Painting from The Arty Club
Build your own box of pottery with The Arty Club’s DIY box. Fill your box with mugs, plates and jugs and they will send you the paint so you can get creative from your kitchen table. Emma Bridgewater eat your heart out.

Build a box of three, six or nine premixed drinks from the wide selection of cocktails on offer. All the usual suspects are there (Cosmo, Daiquiri, Gimlet, etc) plus some other bonuses (Brown Gold, Garden of Russia and Milano Torino). Cheers!
Get your carb on with Pasta Evangelists and keep that lockdown bod pumped with Italian delicousness. Take a trip to Italy (metaphorically) with their ‘pasta in the post’ and themed weeks according to different Italian regions, including the upcoming tastes of Sardinia, Sicily and Puglia. Single portions start from £7.65 and include fresh pasta, sauces and how-to menu guide. Double portions are also available.
Ahh the old and trusty painting by numbers. Does exactly what it says on the tin, and you really can’t go wrong - it’s mathematically impossible. Unless you’re doing it with wine…but we’ll just call that abstract.
Get your pix n mix sugar rush from the newly launched Sweetly Mix who are putting together sweet boxes for £12 which will be posted straight to you by Royal Mail, just DM them on Instagram to order. If someone would be so kind to get me some Haribo strawbs, STAT. I’d be very grateful.
Grow some veggies
Lockdown has meant that we are all missing the great outdoors (hence the flocking of all households to any nearby patch of green as soon as the sun comes out). For those fortunate enough to have their own garden though, why not limit the lockdown outings to the supermarket by growing your own vegetables right on your doorstep? You can buy all sorts of seeds but this helpful Amazon one below is a good starter kit.
