Who Gives A Sock? Our Favourite Sustainable Sock Brand

I recently received a delightful set of socks from Bare Kind featuring adorable puffin and llama prints. These socks are incredibly comfortable and soft—like pillows for your feet. Not to mention, how cute are those puffins?

Founder Lucy Jeffrey has created a brand that marries foot comfort with whimsical, child-like designs. Their playful slogan, "Who gives a sock," perfectly captures their vibrant and fun personality.

Bare Kind was actually founded in 2018 to offer products that add value to the world. Initially selling metal straws, t-shirts, and tote bags, the company found its niche with eco-friendly, high-quality socks. What you may not know, is that Bare Kind donates 10% of profits from each pair to animal conservation charities. Made in a fair-wage factory in Istanbul, these socks reflect Lucy’s passion for animals and sustainability. Starting with turtle socks, the range has expanded, supporting over 25 charities and making a significant impact on endangered animals. Pretty impressive, right?

New range alert!

The new sorbet-inspired pastel ribbed range, launching in July 2024, continues this blend of fun and purpose. With colours like mint choc chip and bubblegum, each pair sports a cute embroidered animal motif—think otters, puffins, sloths, or hedgehogs. The high-quality double-knit rib and terry towel weaving ensure extra softness, and the cushioned toe and heel provide ultimate comfort.

Ethically made with certified bamboo and non-toxic dyes, Bare Kind's socks are packaged in plastic-free, FSC-certified cardboard. Plus, 10% of profits go to a charity related to the animal on your socks. This thoughtful design meets sustainability, allowing you to save the world's animals while looking great.

The pastel collection is available in adult sizes, priced at £12.99, making them a perfect, guilt-free addition to any wardrobe.

Head to the Bare Kind website to get your sock on!
