Top 11 newsletters to sign up to that will fill your inbox with joy

I don’t know about you, but I hate receiving sales emails in my inbox, they are deleted without even reading (unless we are talking about clothing sales, because those are immediately opened). Having said this, I have in more recent months started to sign up to some newsletters that I actually really enjoy reading. These range from recommendations, how to live a more sustainable life, recipes and much more. I have therefore, in the interest of organisation, cultivated you lovely ladies a list of my top 11 newsletters to sign up to that will fill your inbox with joy, rather than promotions about products you frankly couldn’t care less about and signed up to when you were thirteen.

Sheerluxe

If you aren’t already an avid reader of Sheerluxe (the website), you soon will be. However it’s their newsletters that I can’t get enough of. Whether it’s The Daily news update that I literally read every morning, or the other Luxe Mail recommendations that span fashion, beauty, food, events and much more.

The Meander with Dolly Alderton

In advance of the release of her second book, Ghosts, Dolly Alderton has created her own newsletter called The Meander which will fly into your inbox on a monthly basis with recommendations on books, music, recipes and more. Frankly, I can’t wait for the first one as I am an avid fan of her first book, ‘Everything I Know About Love’.

Well-read black girl

Glory Edim has created her newsletter Well-Read Black Girl as a means to share and promote phenomenal black women who she prides herself on having on her bookshelf. It is a sort of email based bookclub for like-minded women who want to read and celebrate black female authors.

Small Island, Big City

This one is actually a good friend of mine, who has started collating some really fantastic information as part of her newsletter. Jess recommends podcasts, TV shows, films as well as a wealth of other interesting facts and content like articles, short videos and art.

Healthy Skin Glows

Sara Sumic, former scientist and founder of Healthy Skin Glows gives you all the skincare secrets you could ever want in her newsletters. The goes through the do’s and don’ts of skincare, as well as providing recommendations on diet, wellbeing and much more. If you’re interested, you can even sign up for one of her free or paid skincare courses.

Ann Friedman’s newsletter

If you like amusing GIFs and great writing, this newsletter is for you. Writer and weekly columnist at The New York Times, Ann spends her spare time collating some of the best writing and entertainment on the internet to arrive in your inbox every Friday. She also has a podcast called, Call Your Girlfriend.



Love letters from Sedona Christie

If you don’t already follow Christie on Instagram, she’s an influencer who promotes living a sustainable, zero waste lifestyle. Her newsletter is called Love Letters and features useful tip bits, zero waste and vegan recommendations of brands and ways to live more sustainably and re-use what you already have in your house. She also recommends films, TV shows and podcasts as well.

Working woman’s food

Who ever thought they could get recipes straight to their inbox! I’ll tell you who, Patricia Gamboa, the creator of working woman’s food. This newsletter sends recipes right to you all with the idea to bring back enjoyable meals. The emails provide shopping lists, meal planning tools, and healthy recipes,

The Skimm

The Skimm is a quick daily newsletter for women which breaks out the news around the world into a digestible format. There are also tips on financial investment, interesting facts you may not already know and product recommendations.

Girl’s Night In

The Girl’s Night In newsletter is exactly what it says on the tin. Every Friday morning, the Girl’s Night In team send over a wealth of recommendations of anything and everything that you can do, read or see instead of going out.
