Poem: The goodnight bliss

I turned down the lights,

the flickering thoughts started glowing

paving their way straight into my head.

The books walked up to the shelves

and helped each other into the stacks.

The beany on my head yawned.

The blanket tangled it's lazy limbs across

my crazy dreams.

The nocturnal ambrosia heisted my soul

there it went...

in the shimmery sky full of fireflies

I could see their tiny greenish lamps

enlightening me

through the enchanting ramps.

A little mischief tickled my bones

I tried to catch some of 'em in a jar

But they smiled and buzzed "your head is ajar"

Don't catch us, we live in this jar...

I asked a little pony

if she could sing me a symphony

Scherzos of wild colors

were laced in her strides.

My reverie kissed a rainbow

and huge engulfing tides.

As my lids got heavy they swayed me away

to the Faylore hills where Gnomes

Would stay.

They weaved stories of kingdoms,

wars, fairies and knights, whilst I knew..

Farewell, isn't it ? Yes,The golden dust assured.

I could feel the warmth coming out

like a whole new world taking birth.

Luscious orange pulp amidst the clouds

illuminating the Earth.

The milieu turns real

but memories of my dream

turns every morning profound and surreal

Then I say to myself -

"Sometimes during night

When the silence roll over

Under it's cold sheath...

I become so much of a thinker, a dreamer, an escapist..."
