I Have Measured Out My Life In Coffee Spoons
(after t. s. eliot)
in laddered tights
and clementine peel
pinched between emerald fingernails
in broken spines which adorn my bookshelf
and bruised ribs tender with laughter
in the soft hiss of an egg against a hot pan
and the gentle scratch of a pencil against
the pages of my favourite book
in postage stamps pressed into corners
and sundresses draped over sun-warmed skin
and in a tapestry made from every poem
i’ve shredded
