TikTok Food and Drink Trends from 2022

TikTok has almost become the new search engine for just about anything you need to know. However, you want to be wary of some TikTok trends since only some things are accurate.

When something goes viral on the app, nearly everyone knows about it within the next few days. With so many trends coming up so fast, it can be easy to lose track of all the delicious and not-so-delicious food trends on TikTok.  Here are some of the top ideas from 2022.

Baked Oats

If you are one to wake up with a sweet tooth, this is sure to be a top trend for you. Baked oats are an excellent alternative for people who want to enjoy the benefits of oats but do not like their texture in oatmeal.

You combine oats, a banana, an egg, baking powder and your flavor of choice — from chocolate to blueberry and more — and blend it. Once everything is combined, you bake it for 25 to 30 minutes and you have a fluffy and delicious cake-like sweet treat to indulge in.

Salmon Bowls

For sushi lovers, this TikTok trend was a game changer. Not only does salmon have many health benefits, but it is tasty, especially in this context. It’s a favorite that presented a way to use your leftover salmon.

Salmon bowls are simple and easy meals that combine ingredients like rice, nori, spicy mayo and — of course — salmon. Although it combines all the flavors of sushi, it takes out the raw fish aspect, encouraging more people to prepare it on their own.

Healthy Soda

In the summer, this trend took over due to its weird yet basic ingredients. It had everyone dying to try it since enjoying a sweet soda can be full of sugar and calories. This healthy soda was a mix of balsamic vinegar and carbonated water.

Unfortunately, many people reported it did not taste anything like soda. It also is a highly acidic drink that raises the risk of teeth erosion if consumed too often. Tooth erosion harms the enamel that protects the tooth, leaving room for cavities and infection. The short answer is to stay away from this trend.

Butter Boards

Once charcuterie boards became one of the most popular food trends on TikTok, people got creative. Everything was up for grabs — from fast food versions, candy, dipping sauce and even board made for cats full of treats.

Butter boards had a similar concept but a slightly different vibe. This version spreads a lot of butter onto a charcuterie board while topping it with various garnishes. On the side, there are options of bread, crackers, pretzels and more to scoop up the butter with to create the perfectly complimented combination.

Perfectly Round Cookies

There is nothing like a freshly baked cookie right out of the oven, but sometimes, they look a little less than perfect after baking. This TikTok trend included a hack for making your cookies look photoshoot ready.

All you need to do is take a glass and swirl the warm cookie to hit the edges, which creates a perfectly shaped treat. One thing about desserts is they have the power to be eye-catching. Using this trend will amaze people with how perfect each cookie looks.

Rice Cake Desserts

When you are craving a sweet treat after dinner but don’t want to eat something packed with calories and sugar, the rice cake dessert is here to help. Health-focused people created these to spice up an average rice cake flavor.

You can add peanut butter, melted chocolate, jam or whatever you like to the top while sticking it into the freezer. This quick and simple dessert is perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth.

Satisfy Your Cravings With Food Trends on TikTok

Whether you’re craving sweets or sushi, TikTok never falls short regarding food and drink trends. Try them out for yourself and find your new staple treats.
