Our Lockdown 3.0 Loungewear Edit

At this rate, and with the way the UK government are handling the coronavirus pandemic, we may as well take the opportunity to redo our wardrobes and fill them with loungewear. By now, you would have thought we would be on the other side of the pandemic getting back to normal life however, lockdown 3.0 has just given us permission to order all those new loungewear sets we’ve had our eye on. Comfort is key now that we are locked down at home and despite the urge to stay in PJ’s all day, we have to face the fact that getting dressed is the first step to a productive day. Loungewear is the perfect way to look stylish but comfortable on the zoom calls, cleaning the house for the 4th time that week or simply relaxing watching the TV. The need for loungewear has meant brands have become specialists when it comes to comfort clothes, luxury couture brands are creating specific loungewear collections, and fast fashion brands have incorporated loungewear to stay in keeping with upcoming trends. There is simply no stopping the power of consumers and their love for loungewear. To help you out with picking your next loungewear set, I have found my favourite styles and where to shop them.

Another must-visit shop is literally named after loungewear and that is Lounge underwear. Typically specifying in underwear, their apparel section does just as well with their ‘cosy cloud fluffy’ collections which have been perfect for the winter. Sometimes we like to be wrapped up in a super soft touch blanket and with the ‘cosy cloud fluffy’ collection, it’s like wearing blanket that hugs you all day. Nothing could have been a more perfect pairing than lounge underwear apparel and a winter lockdown 3.0.

This article wouldn’t be complete without some loungewear from H&M. The Swedish origin brand has always been a high street favourite for their on-trend, stylish and very affordable clothing. However, now the brand is conscious of its impact on the planet creating more sustainable collections and putting programmes in place to encourage customers to change their habits. Their knitted loungewear collections are part of the conscious programme they have in place. The 3-piece knitted set of a crop bralette, with wide leg trousers, and cardigan is a match made in heaven for staying at home. I couldn’t think of a better way to be fashionable from the comfort of your sitting room.
