Everything you need to know about Female Film Club

Meeting Nicole and Liza is an incredible opportunity of my adult life! As we struggled to find a time to meet with Time Zone differences and my family schedule, we landed on a day that preceded a big announcement of a collaboration with Paramount Studios. You can feel the vibrant energy in their voices as they describe their clandestine meeting during the early part of the pandemic and the cultivation of a friendship through projects and working together.

With backgrounds in human rights and feminist film theory, Liza & Nicole found a fast connection point, as they had been looking for support from other women to collaborate and get projects off the ground. They began working on a film together, and quickly began to see the natural networking and it's expansive nature between the two of them.

Their tenacity for networking and building teams to draw upon, an evolution of a development of a cultured club of female film makers was so natural.. As resilience rises in times of stress, we find that Liza and Nicole's emergent talent and leadership building skills to be born in an international virtual group space. What began in a creative neighborhood in London quickly spiraled into the global space of female filmmakers and want-to-bes. With fast growth, this community is now immersed in the most notable film festivals including the ubiquitous Cannes Film Festival.

With influence of also working with major film studios, the Female Film Club amplifies its reach to not only to include Female Film Makers, but also women who seek roles in every part of filmmaking. An recognized force of nature, the Female Film Club fosterspotent networking opportunities for its members. With a broader community comes access to resources. Great news for us! This means more female-made films are going to be produced, which expands the voices being recognized in film.

According to, Peter J. Rentfrow, University of Cambridge research about personality and entertainment preferences, "In an average week, the typical American spends approximately 38 hours watching television shows and movies, 8 hours reading books, magazines, and newspapers, and 18 hours listening to recorded music and radio (Motion Picture Association of America, 2007)." Since this was released, we now have more ease in watching films on iphones and other devices.

With more opportunities to watch films made by a woman or influenced by female crew. People around the world have more access to female influence in the creation of films. What a wonderful idea to organize and lift up one another in a career that is male dominated. Supporting with virtual access means 24-7 support from colleagues and friends when times get tough. This unique club is available and also offers courses to help you better navigate the business and develop your career skills.
