Women in business: Ploom the Label

Are you a fan of all things fluffy, furry and feathery?

Well, hold on to your hats my cool cats and kittens, because Ploom The Label may just be the stuff (or should I say fluff) of your wildest dreams.

Founder of Ploom, Daisy Keens, knows how to not only accessorise like a boss, but how to handmake vibrant feathery garms that make you stand out in a crowd - and, let’s be honest, we all want to stand out in a crowd at some point.

If you head to the website, Ploom actually describes itself as your one-stop shop for all things fluff. We're proud purveyors of feather treasures for fluff fiends, committed to helping your inner Big Bird fly high.

Ploom The Label most definitely prides itself on fluffy finery that packs a punch, and has managed to solidify itself a decent social media following already as a small business. This has to be due to the eye-catching boas modelled by Daisy herself, that can be worn in so many different ways; top, scarf, arm cuffs, skirt accessory. You name it.

In a recent article by Carbon Campus, Ciaran Wilson asked founder, Daisy, if social media had attributed at all to Ploom’s growth. She replied, ‘Instagram has been so essential to helping Ploom grow! I first started showcasing Ploom pieces on my personal account (@pieandfash), so it made sense that Instagram would be the advertising focal point when Ploom came to fruition.’

Other than building a super popular brand, both on and off Instagram, Daisy has also been able to get Ploom pieces seen on A LOT of cool people. Whether it’s being featured on Ella Eyre’s song cover for Mama, modelled by Alice Music on stage, worn to death by Samirah (@thisishowIlook) and Ming Lee Simmons (@mingleesimmons), cosying up to Cher Lloyd or even by several members of Little Mix (as seen on Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirwall and Leighanne Pinnock).

It’s not only the pop princesses that are getting stylish in Ploom, magazines such as Voir Fashion Magazine, L’Officiel Lithuania and Lucy’s Magazine have all featured Ploom as well.

I think one thing is for sure, Ploom The Label has a big future ahead, and with Daisy at the helm, we’ll be seeing a lot more fluff fiends coming out of the woodwork and hitting the streets.
