Stabbing Pain

A few drops
Then several drops,
My breathes,
Heavy, I was seething
My head was hearing
Drums,
Maybe drums of wars
I hated it.
I loathed it
That anger,
That constant anger
The sharp pains
The tears
Not drops,
Continuous
Flowing
Like a river.

This stabbing pain
In my poor heart
This throbbing pain
In my heart
The constant reminder
That I had to live with it
The constant reminder
That I felt so hurt.

"That's your mother,"
A voice in me
As if it knew
I needed to be reminded.
"Unfortunately so."
I'd say, more tears.
