Poem: Dry Tears
INTRODUCTION
You know that burning sensation you feel at the back of your throat at times when you are sad, happy or even when you've nothing to cry about, but you still can't cry. Yes, it was that moment for me when I came up with this poem. Another poem of my quarantine collection, this is a reminder for you to remember that sometimes it's okay to cry even if you have no reason to.
DRY TEARS
Even after my countless try
My eyes are still dry
But one day I surely will
Cry sitting near my window's sill.
Turning insane
Coz my mother shouted at me
Or maybe in pain
For something tragic I see.
Or maybe I've done something wrong
Or crying while listening to a sad song
Pouring the pain of my heart out
For the emotions I can't speak about.
One day my face will surely be damp
For the emptiness I feel in my pit
Or for all the past mistakes I did
For the ones who left me
Or the arguments I don't agree with.
For experiencing a tough day
Or while joining my hands to pray
And I'll cry and cry too loud
For someone I loved who's now dead
Till no tears are left to shed.
I know my eyes are emotionless now
But someday somewhere
while sitting alone
With a blank mind and thinking of none
my eyes will water again
And tears will fall on their own.
