Memories Consigned to History
No more embers glowing, no more crackling sounds at all,
Memories of a warm fire, consigned to history.
No more toasted marshmallows, no more cum by yar,
Memories of a childhood, consigned to history.
No more smoking behind the bikesheds, no more cider before the disco,
Memories of teenage frivolities, consigned to history.
No more youth clubs, no more connexions guidance ,
Memories of youth services, consigned to history.
No more company coach trips, no more union workers United,
Memories of a collective workforce, consigned to history.
No more sence of morality , no more respect for one another,
Memories of a close and caring society, consigned to history.
